Select -Valor

(August - December) & (january - April)

This is a chance for your child to play more competitively and build new skills that they would not have the chance to with rec ball. This is a competitive team so play time is not guaranteed it is earned based on your player skills. 

Schedule

During the Fall season the team will practice 2-3 times per week depending on age division and will have 1 or more games on Sundays depending on tournament schedule. 

During the Spring season each player will play on a Rec Team and the Select Team the rec team will practice 1-2 times per week and have 2 games per week (1 on Saturday and 1 during the week) and Select team will practice and play in tournaments on Sundays. 

Player Age Divisions

A players age division is determined by their age on September 1. Please refer to the following chart to identify their age division. 

Teams

Fall Teams will be formed at the end of August, and players will be notified. Teams will have 10-12 players based on talent and skill level.

Spring  Teams will be formed early January, and players will be notified. Teams will have 10-12 players based on talent and skill level.

How is Select Different from Rec Ball

Those participating in Valor fall ball will not play on a rec team. The Valor team play in more tournaments locally and will have more play time then the rec teams. Play time is not guaranteed like in rec ball. The Valor team is also selected through a tryout process. Not all girls will make the team, but those not selected are eligible to play rec ball still. 

Selection Process

Tryouts will be held in August & January, teams will be chosen based on player skill level and ability. At Tryout players will be evaluated by the Selection Committee.

To tryout for a Select - Valor Team you must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI)

How Many Teams will be formed?

As a league we will field as many teams as we can based on interest, talent, and coaching. As a league we would love to see competitive teams grow and more players develop competitive skills.

Additional Fees - Spring Only

In addition to Rec fees, players selected for a Valor Team will be required to pay the Select Team fees. The fees cover tournament registration fees and additional umpire fees, as needed.
